I wanted to share an exciting Christmas event happening for our families called the Gingerbread Bash.
It’s a gingerbread nativity building party designed for the whole family. In addition to building and decorating their own gingerbread nativity, families will get to play games, sing songs, hear the Christmas story from the Bible, and discover the good news of Jesus!
There are two ways that our families can participate:
1) In person at Renfrew Baptist Church on Saturday, November 29th, from 3:00 - 4:30. Families must register online here
2) At home with a take-home kit. If families choose this option, they must register using the form here by November 24th. Take-home kits will be handed out November 30th at Daybreak before the service.
The Advent Retreat provides opportunities for biblical reflection, personal anecdotes, and prompts for participants to consider their own calling by God and their response.
The retreat facilitator encourages self-examination and prayer, guiding participants to reflect on their faith journey and God’s presence in moments of challenge and growth.
About the Facilitator
Nancy Cowtun was ordained with the Congregational Christian Churches in Canada in 2012 and currently sits on the National Board of the 4Cs. Nancy’s mission in life is to work with “children” who need inner healing. In an attempt to understand and fulfil that call, Nancy was certified as a Spiritual Care Practitioner with the Canadian Association for Spiritual Care and worked as a chaplain/spiritual health practitioner for Alberta Health Services and Covenant Health. She was commissioned as a Stephen Minister and Stephen Leader in the local church. Nancy is a trained Spiritual Director who enjoys journeying with people as they step into the fullness of their relationship with the triune Godhead.
