OUR VISION
To see people finding help, hope, and healing in Jesus, growing together as an authentic church family, and bringing real hope across Airdrie and beyond.
OUR MISSION
To enrich lives with the good news of Jesus through relationships, teaching, and serving—sharing the persistent love of Jesus Christ with ALL people.
CORE VALUES AND BIBLICAL FOUNDATIONS
-
Living by and proclaiming the teachings and way of Jesus.
What We Believe
DayBreak Community Church is a community of Christ-followers whose primary desire is to share the persistent love of Jesus Christ. Everything we do centers on the person, grace, and teachings of Jesus rather than on rigid religious performance.
We want DayBreak to be a place where people can come as they are, ask honest questions, wrestle with faith, and encounter the real forgiveness, grace, and love of Jesus. As we encounter Christ, we believe our lives are transformed to increasingly reflect Him.
Scriptural Anchors
2 Corinthians 5:17 – “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”
Romans 12:2 – “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind…”
John 4:7–29 – The Samaritan woman’s encounter with Jesus.
-
Showing the love of Jesus through practical, hands-on service.
What We Believe
God has planted DayBreak in the community of Airdrie for a purpose. We believe that one of the clearest ways to demonstrate the love of Jesus is to meet real needs in tangible ways.
We want to be known not simply for what we believe, but for how we serve. We will intentionally step beyond the walls of our building to serve our neighbours, schools, organizations, and community—offering practical help, building trust, and contributing to the flourishing of Airdrie.
Our service is not simply about creating programs. It is about seeing people, noticing needs, and responding with the generous and compassionate heart of Jesus.
Scriptural Anchors
Matthew 5:13–16 – “You are the light of the world… let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
Galatians 5:13 – “Serve one another humbly in love.”
James 2:14–17 – Faith expressed through practical care for those in need.
-
Bringing the love and message of Jesus into everyday life.
What We Believe
We believe following Jesus is not something that happens only inside the church building. Faith shapes how we live, how we treat people, how we build relationships, and how we speak about the hope we have found in Christ.
We want to be real, approachable, and transparent people who prioritize relationships over religion. Rather than seeing evangelism as a program, we want to cultivate a culture where conversations about faith happen naturally—around tables, in workplaces, at schools, in neighbourhoods, and among friends and family.
We will seek to live in such a way that people experience the love of Jesus through us and feel comfortable asking questions about the hope that shapes our lives.
Scriptural Anchors
1 Thessalonians 2:8 – “We cared so much for you that we were pleased to share with you not only the gospel of God but also our own lives…”
1 Peter 3:15 – “Always be prepared to give an answer… but do this with gentleness and respect.”
Matthew 28:19–20 – “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations…”
-
Finding belonging, growing together, and caring for one another as the family of God.
What We Believe
Life was never meant to be lived in isolation. You may enter DayBreak alone, but we want you to find a family.
We believe the church is more than a gathering of people who attend the same service. We are a family in Christ—people of different ages, backgrounds, experiences, and stages of life who belong to one another because we belong to Jesus.
We celebrate every step people take toward Jesus and seek to create an intergenerational, supportive home where everyone can find belonging, grow in faith, and discover their place. We want to be a church where children, youth, adults, and seniors learn from one another, care for one another, and pull in the same direction as one body.
When someone celebrates, we celebrate together. When someone struggles, we carry the burden together. When someone needs help, we respond together. We believe that is what it means to be God's family.
Scriptural Anchors
Acts 2:42–47 – “Every day they continued to meet together… and ate together with glad and sincere hearts…”
Romans 12:5 – “So in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.”
Hebrews 10:24–25 – “…let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds…”
